Kents Lake

July 15th, 2019 – Fishing has been good.  It has picked up since the first of the year.  Shouldn’t have a problem catching some fish!  Book your camping spots early!

June 11th, 2019 – Fishing has been average.  They stocked recently, but we had a pretty bad winter kill this year.  Most fish died over the winter.  The stockers will take a few days to get

May 18th, 2016 – Fishing reports have been good.  There have been some decent tiger trout taken.  Spinners and spoons in gold and silver and bait should be good this time of year.

May 4th, 2016 – You can now get to Kent’s Lake.  It has been open for the last few days.  They should be closing the gate soon, so walking in may be necessary.  Have not heard much feedback yet on how well people are doing.  I will update as I get feedback from Customers.

February 19th, 2016 – An adventure to Kent’s in the winter will require a Snowmobile or tracked ATV.  Fishing is usually really good this time of year and it is Beautiful up there. 

August 9th, 2015 – Fishing has slowed a little.  Algae has started to form in the lake and made it a little harder to fish. We have heard a few reports of Tigers still biting.

June 5th, 2015 – Fishing has been good.  Good sized Tiger Trout have been taken.

May 20th, 2014 – Early fishing has been good.  Kastmasters and Spinners – Tiger trout are starting to pick up.

April 18th, 2014 – The road to Kents is open… Upper gate is closed, but you can get to Kents. Haven’t heard a lot of reports yet.

July 26, 2014 – Fishing has slowed a little on the tigers, but seems  to still be going strong. 

June 6, 2014 – Fishing has been really good. Tigers are still biting on the east and north ends of the lake.  Power Bait and worms seem to be the top choice.  Trolling seems to be the best strategy if you have a boat.

May 23, 2014 – The gate is now open. They opened it Yesterday afternoon.  Early reports say that the Tiger trout are biting.  I have heard of 2-3 lb. Tiger’s being caught.

May 6th, 2014 –
You can now get to the Gate at Tushar.  This allows you to walk in to Kent’s Lake.  1/2 Mile uphill walk to the lake.  Early fishing on this lake is usually really good for those interested in the hike.

April 15th, 2014 – I would guess that the ice is off of most of the lake, but I don’t think that you can get there yet.  I will update as soon as someone comes in stating they were able to make it.

December 7, 2013 – For those of you willing to snowmobile in, the ice should be thick enough and fishing should be great!  Worms, Mealworms and jigs are going to be the best bet.  Try to stay warm out there!

May 25, 2013 – Fishing has been fantastic the last week.  From our information, the road is still closed just beyond upper Kents.

May 2, 2013 – Still can’t quite make it to Kents.  I have heard that it is getting close to being open.  Maybe another week of warm weather?

Kent’s Lake is home of the annual Fishing Derby for kids.  This is a great lake and the only lake on Beaver Mountain that will allow a boat with a Motor.  This lake has good sized fish and has a great camping area.

June 15, 2012 – Fishing has been really good.  Tiger trout over 1-2 lbs have been rumored to have been caught.  I have seen one pic so far.  If you have some, please send them in.  Bait fisherman seem to be doing really good.  Gold and silver lures or Spinners have also been working well.

May 22, 2012 – The lake is open and has been really good fishing the last week.  Some good sized Tiger Trout have been taken and the natives seem to be biting well.

The road leading to Kent’s Lake is still closed.  It should be open mid-May.  We will update when the lake is getting closer to opening.

The open lake is perfect for spending a weekend camping and hiking.  Great location and close to multiple other lakes.

This lake has Rainbow, Cutthroat, Tiger and Brook trout.

June 22, 2013 – Fishing has been good at Kents lake. Groups have been pulling out decent Tiger, Cuthroat, Browns, and Rainbow Trout.

The road to Kents is open. The fish have been biting on Jake’s lures, Rainbow and Green Sparkle Power Bait, Spinners, and Worms. For Fly Fishing they have been biting Midges and Wooly buggers.
